This has nothing to do with anything, other than… I like green.
I’m really busy at work and have a giant headache, but otherwise all is excellent. We moved. We have a home. We OWN a home (kind of… in 35 years or so). There have been parties. There have been meatballs. Snowboarding. Dance. Not much singing but I expect that to be remedied next week. Christmas planning and Christmas goodies (oi). We live in exciting times.
Sidenote: Huge big massive love and shout outs to MJ Ankenman and Chris LeMay for hooking us and everyone we know up with new perfect homes this year. 2009 was good for you guys!
I was reminded last night that I have yet to show off the photos Josh and I had done by Reilly and Miranda for our anniversary back in April. And given how freaking enthralled I am with how they turned out I really should have been showing them off sooner.
So! Here’s the slideshow they put together for us that makes me all squishy inside when I watch it. Tra la!
I’ve been on quite the nostalgic kick today, which means you get something from WAY back.
This was taken on my old Pentax MZ-6 35mm camera wandering with Kris around Lower Mount Royal in Calgary on a brisk winter day – I can’t remember exactly when, but this photo was one of the very first I uploaded to flickr in 2005 and it was taken at least a few years before that. I don’t really know what it is about this photo, but I love it.
Wow. So the past week has been intense, but on Wednesday night Josh and I finalized the biggest decision we’ve made together to date and signed the mortgage papers for our new home.
We’re all growed up! Goodbye rent, hello mortgage! It’s all very exciting and terrifying. Our closing date is November 20 and we’ll move in that weekend.
