This was taken on a walk in the forest behind our new home a couple weeks ago. It was perfect golden hour and completely solidified (again) why what we chose is perfect for us.
We celebrated Christmas with our friends at home this year (our first time in Vancouver for the holidays since we moved here 3 years ago) and it was perfect. Christmas Eve in our new home, Christmas morning at Kim and Ed’s new home, Christmas dinner at Reilly and Miranda’s new home. If you’d said to any of us 6 months ago that we’d all be home owners before the end of the year we would have LAUGHED. SO. HARD. But then R&M started the process on the first place they were interested in and it got the wheels seriously turning for Josh and I. We knew we wanted to buy at some point, hopefully sooner than later, but hadn’t SERIOUSLY considered it until that point. And then we found out it wouldn’t be nearly as difficult as I thought it might be. And then we walked in the door of this place and it clicked. This was it. And we couldn’t be more thrilled.
I’m so happy we were all able to find and afford and move into our perfect homes before the end of the year. What a perfect way to end 2009 and begin 2010.
