and where did you come from?
the last couple days have pretty much been the longest in existence. and did you know that feeling like it’s friday every day since tuesday really kind of sucks a lot? but really, if that’s all i’ve got to complain about, i’ve got nothing to complain about at all.
turns out this is the year of weddings – mel’s getting married at the end of march in mexico (i won’t be going to mexico myself, unfortunately, but it looks like i’ll be able to make it out to calgary at the beginning of march for her stagette. woo!). josh’s friend rachel is getting married in mid-april on salt spring island, which we will definitely be attending. then jen and smaff are tying the knot at the beginning of may in vegas, another one that josh and i will be at. so, not only is it the year of weddings, they’re all destination weddings to boot!
add to that the fact that i’ll be in calgary again the weekend before rachel’s wedding to see my grandparents and just generally hang out and then AGAIN in june for vfest… well. that’s just a lot of weekend travel. but it’s all good, i don’t see any reason that i won’t be able to pull it all off, especially given how relatively cheap each of the trips will be (thank the gods for airmiles) and that they can all be done in long or regular weekends. now, if josh and i can just fit in a trip to nevis to see jhawke, a road trip to alaska this summer, and another road trip east to see josh’s mom we’ll be good to go. let’s just not think about the fact that we only have 15 days a year to play with and and a non-infinite amount of funds with which to afford it all, okay? good.
i started writing this update early this morning and it’s now… oh… 2pm? and i just got slammed with work (love when that happens on a friday afternoon), so unfortunately going to have to cut it off right heeeeeeeere. later dudes!
… and somewhere in all your travelling, you need to be in Vancouver for us to visit on a 4-day weekend sometime this summer… probably July or August. Do you know if you’re NOT available during those months?
Speaking of travelling…we are looking to be there for the May 2-4 weekend (a.k.a. May-Long). Will you guys be around? I wanna take you guys out for dinner or lunch in return for all the help Josh has given me on the web site madness.
Should I request her presence in Vancouver sometime too? Heh. I’m thinking August sometime.

But I can tell you that they won’t be in Vancouver May 2-4. We’re all going to Vegas for a wedding that weekend.

chris – like other kris said, may 1-4 josh and i will be in vegas… but isn’t may long the weekend of the 19th? i don’t want to miss you guys, but we might!

Hey Kris… I get them from August 7-10.
Yes, the May 2-4 weekend actually falls on May 17-19 this year, as opposed to the May 1-4 weekend which I have no idea where that falls.
Well, Mary’s going to be there for business the week leading up and I’m flying out on the Thursday night (15th) to meet her and spend most of the weekend in Victoria/Vancouver island for my birthday. If you guys aren’t there, that sucks but what can you do. One day we’ll get around to hooking up…someday.
